Client Consultation
It starts with a conversation
Every project exists within limits — time, budget, space, regulation, human need — and we do not resist these. We design with them. Constraint sharpens imagination, and boundaries give ideas form.
When we meet a client, we do not listen only for measurements, budgets, or requirements. We listen for atmosphere, for emotional intention, for unspoken hopes, and for the distance between what is imagined and what feels possible. We listen for the life a space must hold.

What to Expect:
-
We visit your space — all the rooms or areas you are considering — and walk through them with you. We ask about how you use or propose to use the space, what works, what doesn't and give suggestions to explore the scope.
-
We discuss your aesthetic instincts, even if they feel uncertain or hard to articulate.
If you already have ideas about how you’d like your space to look, we invite you to share them with us:
Visual Inspiration: keepsakes, furniture, art, etc. that you’d like us to work with
Lifestyle Insights: how you envisage the space being used, by whom, and for what activities.
Don’t worry if you don’t have any ideas: we have plenty of inspiration to go round!
-
We talk through practical priorities — timelines, budgets in general terms, any work that is already planned or underway.
-
We’ll also take measurements during our visit, so that should you want us to go ahead with the project, we’ll be able to hit the ground running.
If you have architect drawings bring those along too.
Outcome:
The result of our consultation will be a clear understanding of your desired scope of work, your wants, needs, likes and dislikes, for us to bring our creativity and expertise to.
We follow up with a written summary capturing your requirements, accompanied by a detailed quote. This forms the design brief for your bespoke interior design project.
