Client Consultation
It starts with a conversation
Before anything is decided, drawn, or specified, we visit. We walk through your space with you, we ask questions, and we listen — not just to what you want to change, but to how you actually live, what is and isn't working, and what you hope your home will feel like when the work is done.
This is not a sales meeting. There are no slides, no portfolio presentation, and no pressure to commit.
It is simply a conversation — the kind that, in our experience, is the most important part of any project. The decisions made here, before anything is purchased or built, shape everything that follows.
At the end of the visit, you will have a clear sense of what your project involves, what approach makes most sense for your situation, and whether we are the right people to help you. We will follow up with a written summary and, if it feels right on both sides, a proposed scope of work.
What to Expect:
We visit your space — all the rooms or areas you are considering — and walk through them with you together. We ask about how you use the space now, what works, what doesn't, and what you'd change if you could change anything.
We discuss your aesthetic instincts, even if they feel uncertain or hard to articulate.
We talk through practical priorities — timelines, budgets in general terms, any work that is already planned or underway. We’ll also take room measurements during our visit to your home so that, should you want us to go ahead with the project, we’ll be able to hit the ground running.
By the end, we will have a shared understanding of your project and a clear picture of how we can help.
Come Prepared:
If you already have ideas about how you’d like your space to look, we invite you to share them with us:
Visual Inspiration: keepsakes, furniture, art, etc. that you’d like us to work with
Lifestyle Insights: how you envisage the space being used, by whom, and for what activities.
Don’t worry if you don’t have any ideas: we have plenty of inspiration to go round!
The Outcome:
The result of our consultation will be a clear design brief that captures your requirements and forms the foundation for your bespoke interior design project.
Once we’ve agreed the design brief, the fun begins.
